ewwwww, obxflygirl1!!!! i never ate one! but a couple years ago, i did taste one carefully with the tip of my tongue. very salty. but guess what? at least YOU were a child! i must have been 52 years old. and no i am not ready for the nursing home. once, in some of my scribblins and writings, i worried that if i got senile, all i would do was play with my food and play with myself! Oh! Just kill me first!... okay this thread is cracking me up! i will go and try to think of other causes.... -
I've got it on good authority...GF said my diet...
...didn't eat my broccoli & carrots...and crossed my eyes too many times...but than again it could be all that chocolate chip cookie dough Barbie made me eat...
Hummm, GF drinks, smokes, eats red meat&sausage, uses plastic to microwaved food...yeah, it's my diet! She is so right...darn those broccoli crowns&baby carrots served on chocolate chip cookies by Barbie with my eyes crossed (::) -
I ate too much slimy fish. And definately 20 years of not eating red meat, i was certainly asking for it. and all that walking and riding of bikes and buses till i was almost 40 years old prolly contributed too. i did smoke a cigarette through my nose once, after extensive dental work. that must have been what done it. when i was a kid once, i remember wishing the whole planet would just die, it could have been that, i was pretty angry one day at unfairness! Too many scary movies may have deformed my very cells... god i could go on, but one thing i am certain of, it IS MY FAULT ONLY. just like my lymhphedema! Just ask my breast surgeon, she'll tell ya! -
bump -
Well Kathec - I will not will not be held accountable...no green eggs and ham on a boat with a goat...I scream for ice cream...vegan, gluten free, no soy, exercise...hummm pass the ice cream and Barbie...putting up my jump rope...hum
Maybe it was squeezing my wide feet into my lil sis shoes...busted
and a few intolerable acts sisters do! But not my fault it's all in her jeans! -
oh and there is cutting all the hair off her Barbie...hum Barbie&Ken lurking in the you house ...yes...Revenge if the Barbie! -
I also cut my sister's Barbie's hair. -
one little girl in my neighborhood when i was growing up, that i used to baby sit, my mom told me that she actually cut the breasts off her barbie. i just remembered that when you guys were talking about barbies. boy, i wish i had seen that! she was only 5 or 6, so i cant even imagine the strength and determination that must have involved. i will call her mom and find out the details. her and i are still friends, and she is still friends with my mom, too. apparently lisa (the girl who did that) does not have breast cancer, and is still a very determined person!!! maybe we should all have cut off barbies breasts pre -emptively! -
Alert...Alert....News Bulletin...News Bulletin...Alert...Alert!
Women wearing Pink BC Survior armor have stormed Barbie displays across the country...oh my! This is horrible! Yes, they are cutting off...I can't look...can't bear to report! A pre-emptive pink strike...the girls are flying... -

-
hey fire kracker n ducky! c'mon, tell us the truth! or make up some stories about how you got bc. this thread totally cracked me up when, i found it. i wish ,ore people would come and laugh with us! RMlulu is makin me tinkle, practically. so seriously, i think i got bc cause i did not love and appreciate them enough.... they were in my way when i was a runner, and the men would look at them and not into my eyes. my lovely green eyes. or my stunningly muscular willowy pre-lymphema arms! i used to enjoy watching the basketball players with my boyfriend who is a big fan of nba. but now, all i do is get jealous of thier excellent arms!
-
Hey Fire....send me a PM with your email address and phone number.....have something I want yo ask you about Veggy and don't want it posted.....thanks girlfriend....
Kathy.....how did I get cancer.....probably from the 22 years of lack of nookie.....my husband died 22 years ago,.....or maybe over use the years previous to those 22......no, must have been those undereire bras.....or the time running the sweeper......stepped on the cord....I kept moving.....sweeper stopped.....BAM, ELECTROULUX HANDLE DRIVEN CLEAR THROUGH RIGHT BOOB......MASSIVE LUMP...TECHNICOLOR BRUISE.....oooooohhhhhh the colors.......
No, I got it.....WHEN THEY SAID 1of the 8 WOMEN IN THIS ROOM WILLGET BC, I LOOKED AROUND AND THE OTHER 7 HAD RAN THE HELL OUT THE FRIGGIN DOOR.......that's it....no doubt.....lol
-
lol,lol,lol! ducky!
-
....but, ow! i mean, that sounds like that would really effin hurt!
-
Oh it did........right at that minute after I regained consciousness I thought.......well that's a tumor getter if I ever saw one.......
My son, bless his heart when he put in my "dream bathroom" put a mirror above the triple vanity granite sink.....now picture this shock in the morning when your 74.(age at the time when I almost performed my own mastectomy with a sweeper handle) when it encompasses your form from the waist up.......not pretty..
Ok, I digress.......moving on.....so took out the deodorant....raised my arm...finally got the courage to look in the mirror that early in the morning and found what I knew years later would be a BC Tumor......I thought WTF, then remembered my battle with the Electrolux......
So thst is my story, and I'm sticking to it.......
-
hello
to tell the truth I was shocked when i got the beast
one mornign i woke up and rolled over on my 34DD and said ouch.Went to the dr. and she said u need to be checked
ok,my niece is a tech so i called her and she did the mammo. She showed me the spot and said awww its probably nuthin but lets get ur last yrs mamo just to be sure.Got the mamo, looked for the dot and it wasnt there, still wasnt sure but her hubby came and brought it to her.Well the dr said it was questionable and sent me to a BS. thats when we found out i had the beast.
i checked all the things i did wrong and almost fainted.NO ONE IN MY FAMILY HAD THE BEAST BUT ME
1-slept with a bra all my life
2-did not breast feed any of my kids
3-wore underwires
4took hormones for over a decade
i forgot the rest but i think u get the point.
Oh i also lived on suger....so u see i was the perfect fool..
i ONLY HAD TO DO THE RADS THANK GOD
AND NO IM NOT TAKIN ANY HORMONES.
I live day to day and try not to think about it...my QOL is very important to me and i will not give it up..
I danced competition Spanish dancing and im still tryin to keep it up.Wish i could do what i did 30 yrs ago but damn i sure cannot.

-
BACON. The more I think about it, the more I'm suspicious of the ever-present coffee-can of bacon grease on the back of my mom's stove. It never got changed, just added to, and was used to fry everything.
As for Barbies, I ratted my Barbie's hair so much it looked like a Brillo Pad. She had a huge blonde Afro. And I gave her tattoos with a Bic pen. Very exotic.
I'm curious - if you cut the tatas off a Barbie doll, can you see inside her chest? Or are they solid? Inquiring minds want to know.
-
blessings....LMFAO....oh add being overweight to the Electrolux.....Lol
-
they are solid. all of barbie is solid except her empty little head.
-
so glad I am here......LMAO......love you gals.....Thanks Firecracker..........found a home......
-
just thought......remember being here before, but got lost along the way.......LOL......won't leave anymore.........hugs
-
Truthfully, one that still haunts me - I worked as an archaeologist somewhere they said was not hazardous waste area. I won't describe the whole scene but I went home after two weeks there because I felt like something BAD had happened there. We were exhuming 100s of individuals. Anyway 10 years later I found my first lump..
On the other hand, my sisters and I must have been bad because we all got it.. My family believes this.
Edit: Ooops this was supposed to be more humor than real wasn't it.... Unfortunately, for me This one is no laughing matter and I still wonder if it contributed to my demise.
-
Oh my goodness - these posts are hilarious !! I really need a giggle this morning
Love the Barbie story - had we all known, I think we all would have played Barbie a tad differently
I will never look at my niece's Barbie's the same way now .. lol !!!!
-
I was a GI joe and cowboys and indians type of gal - I would look at my cousin's barbie and GI Joe would throw her down the stairs. Bad Bad Gma... LOL I remember trying to play Barbie but just never got it.
-
we could not afford real Barbies when my girls were young......her clothes cost as much as the kids....so why buy real Barbie who had to spend eternity in a black and white stripped bathing suit....
So $1.00 Store Barbie it was, and clothes were 2 paks for a$1.00...I MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH IT HAD MY DAUGHTER NOT TRIED TO COMB HER HAIR.......my girls laugh even now and say....."yea we were so poor we had &1.00 Store Barbie".......LOL, LOL.
Hey but we always had love and good food.......
-
my DDs played with Barbie dolls till they were 12yrs.old.
Today at 12 yrs old they r doin way more then play with Barbie..
What happened?
And when?
-
LOL, LOL,......oh you got that right..........we were not angels, but had enough sense to keep our mouths shut........ok, that is not what I meant..........ENOUGH ALREADY.........there I go again, getting myself in more trouble.......
-
oh Ducky ..u in trouble...never
Gee I'm getting to sound like Veggy with her one liners.lol
U no she was on this thread when it first started.
Check out this thread from the beginning...we had so much fun.
-
You guys are such a hoot! Thanks for the laughs. I am occasional lurker on this thread, but I just have to say I know how I got BC. My grandma used to break a straw from the straw broom and stick it in cakes baking in the oven to see if they were done. She obviously had swept up cancer from the floor and it ended up in the cake. Yes Grandma fed me cancer cake but who knew? It had frosting on it! And who ate the most cake? Hmmm.. .
