    There's a whole thread dedicated to this. It works best with those on TC tx vs AC. Depending on the brand, you can rent or buy, but they are pricey (renting can be $500/mo, not including dry ice and other equipment).

    Eartman, the thread has tons of info. Feel fre to PM me also if you would like some help navigating the info! I can tell you they can be pricey, but depending on the situation and the type of caps they can be affordable. They made a huge difference in my outlook and many of the ladies on the thread speak to that as well.

    I used cold caps during my TC x6 treatment. It worked well for me. I was also on the Lupron shot during chemo, which can have a side effect of hair loss. Despite all this, I've still got a full head of hair. It's thinned quite a bit and I prob lost about half my hair just through shedding but no one can tell. I never needed a wig. It's expensive but worth it, IMO. Keep in mind, cold caps show less success with ACT than TC.
