    Hi Ladies:

As I get closer to my surgery date of January 3rd, 2014, the panic sets in and I am having meltdowns more frequently than when I was first diagnosed in mid November.  This site has been so comforting as everyone I know, tries to, but cannot relate to how I am feeling.  I sit at work and watch everyone go about their life and mine is so interrupted at this point.  It is 1:30 am and I am just rambling...hope you all have a good night.  :)

You have expressed what I think very well; that feeling of life interrupted is a very strange thing. We were at dinner tonight and I was sitting there just looking at all the other families that are just going on with their regular lives and here I am dealing with this. It is difficult to deal with sometimes.  I hope it gets easier as time goes on.

OMG, I was thinking the same thoughts yesterday at the Xmas party--not really in an envious way, b/c we all have our problems in life and not all can be seen or known to other people.  Part of it is we're going thru this at holiday time I think and I'm starting to hate the holidays--my ex chose the time between Xmas and New Year's to tell me he was gay all along--after 23 years of marriage!  Our divorce was final almost exactly 2 years later.  Yup, they can take Xmas and all that hoopla and put it back in the box.
