Hi--Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) w/ the docs at GWU in DC? I'm planning on preventative surgery and am starting there...Thanks!

Zeeba -  I saw Christine Teal and Joanne  Lenert at GW for oprinions before  my BMX. Christine Teal, BS, was featured in a  Washington Post article about prophylactic MX a few years ago. I'm sure you can google it. I really appreciated that Dr. Lenert was honest with me and referred me elsewhere  for reconstruction. She didn't do the type of surgery that she felt would be best  for me following radiation. Since your in DC, I would also recommend that you seek an opinion from the docs  at Georgetown. They are a NCI designated cancer center. I'm a big proponent for second and even third  opinions!

I had an exisional biopsy done with Dr. Bonnie Sun at Sibley (I think it's Sullivan breast center). I think she's great. Sibley is now part of John Hopkins. And a friend had all her treatment done there and said she too had a very positive experience with her care.
