Dream regarding health . . . Does it mean anything???

I will be six years out from my BC diagnosis in January.  Last night I had a dream regarding going to the gynocologist and having a pap smear.  In the dream, initially the results came back fine and then I received a call stating that there was a problem and to call to go back and have additional tests.  I know this probably seems crazy, but do you think it means anything?  Should I make an appointment to have a pap smear?  Has anyone else had dreams regarding their health that you felt was "a sign"?  I didn't remember the dream right when I woke up this morning it was later on.  I just don't want to ignore it, if it is my body trying to tell me something.  Curious if anyone else has ever had this type of experience.

    I never have, but it could be that your subconscious mind remembers something your conscious mind has overlooked, namely that you're overdue for a gyn exam. Why not call your gyn's office, and if it is time for a checkup & pap, schedule it now?

    i think our dreams are about stuff hanging around in our heads from the day. Whether you are aware of it or not you probably fear getting news like this and it plays out in your dream. It is good to keep up with appointments but i don't believe dreams can 'predict'. Try not to worry....easier said than done I know.

    I always pay attention to my dreams and have for years...sometimes I think they really mean a lot! Other times, not so much. But it sure wouldn't hurt to follow up with your pap!


    My dead grandmother who I was so close to came to me in a dream right before my BC diagnosis. I had just found the lump and was terrified. But I was making all kinds of excuses for 2 weeks like quitting caffeine, can't be cancer - it hurts and moves, etc.


    In the dream my grandmother came to me and told me to "Get to the doctor immediately - you are not going to die but you have to go now." She said it in a very stern voice, and she was never stern. I was diagnosed Stage 3 just a few weeks later. I'm glad I did not ignore her warning!
