hello all-

Just diagnosed with invasive mod differentiated ductal carcinoma with estrogen 100%, progest. 100% and her-2 positive - does anyone know if that means triple positive? I also have positive nodes and my dr is concerned with my adrenal gland - anyone have similar ? 2 weeks into this still learning - going to MSK 2 weeks as local drs r given conflicting info - pet scan and more tests next week - any info appreciated -

Thanks so much

Julie

Welcome Janna, although I am sorry you have a need to be here. You are in the right place - this site is a great source of good information. Yes, sounds like you are triple positive. I am too. Getting a second opinion is always a great idea, especially if you are getting conflicting information. You will have some big decisions to make over the next several weeks.

If you like to read, I recommend Dr. Susan Love's The Breast Book. It has great, easy to understand information about just about every aspect of breast cancer.

Take a deep breath. Now is a time to take care of yourself. The period immediately after being diagnosed is so difficult. I remember feeling overwhelmed and terrified. I don't think I slept for the first couple of weeks, and I cried buckets every day. Now I am almost two years past that point. Treatments are done, surgeries are almost done... life is slipping back to a new version of normal. All things come to pass. You will get through this! And we are here for you.
