I was watching a u-tube demo on how easy it is to wear head buffs. Anyone had any experience with these and wear in the USA to order them? Thanks ...
-
hi SyrMom, I bought and used a buff, black with multi-colored peace signs. You can wear it many ways but I only ever used it as a cap. Here's their website: http://www.planetbuff.com/

Thanks, Badger!

SyrMom - I rarely wear anything else anymore. Forget the wig & the complicated scarf tying. I even bought a couple of Merino Wool Buffs for the winter & I had UV Buffs for the summer. LOVE them. I bought mine at sports stores since they were originally designed for active sports like motorcycle riding, rock climbing, etc. Found them at both Academy and REI. -
You're welcome, SyrMom! I thought about you this morning when I came across two buffs in a dresser drawer while I was looking for gloves. Would you like them? (free) One is the black w/peace signs, and the other is blue-gray with green paisley design. Yes I am an ex-hippie LOL. PM me if interested. ♥

Hi folks---and Badger so nice to see you hope all is well. I just found this thread through a poster on my Insomnia thread Solteria. It's excellent. I am going to post a link on my thread JUST DIAGNOSED-GET PREPARED with encouragement to come here. I'll bring back a link to that thread JD-GP here. They compliment each other well

Hey Sassy! ♥

Hi, Paula, yes I so agree, if you look at the JD-GP thread you will see what I mean about very little overlap. So, it's a great addition that I could put a link on JD-GP. JD-GP was pinned a very long time ago. It's with a group of four threads that newbies are encouraged to read. Sadly, many newbies jump right in and muddle around LOL. I did too! The old phrase if all else fails read the directions

Badger----------oh Hello-----------what's up??????

Badger I think of you often and words of advice that you gave me long ago. So long ago you may have forgotten.
I have a BF. We have our ups and downs. You helped during a very difficult down period. We are still together. I'm of an age that time will tell, we will see L&H&P's

Hi folks, me again. I decided to put the link in the header rather than just a post. This way it won't get lost in time as pages turn

I'm having my third full body bone scan today. I had one in Nov 2012 before starting chemo, one in June before starting rads. I'm not having any problems, but my MO is very agressive and hasn't been satisfied with the 2 former scans. She's concerned with an area in the left shoulder and lower right spine. I'm 63 and have had arthritis in those 2 places for years. I told her, they won't find anything.
Have to get ready to go.
Blessings
Paula

Soteria ... when I went for a second opinion at Dana Farber in Boston, the MO there said he no longer even orders bone scans because its impossible to tell the diff. between healing areas and cancer. When I've had areas of more concern, they were able to assess them by MRI with and without contrast; my RO said the CT scans are useless for bone mets, doesn't tell them anything, even though the report will read bone mets are stable, not so. I actually had a vertebra that was fully engulfed with the beast! The MRI told the whole story. That being said, my MO here still orders bone scans once a year ... after what I was told in Boston, whatever the results are I will take with a grain of salt.
-
SyrMom~~I've had 2 MRIs and a pet scan. She wanted to see what this one showed after chemo & rads. She called just as I pulled into my driveway to say, " what was seen on the shoulder is previous scans is much much better, and what was seen on the spine is completely gone.
-
Soteria ... Well, that sounds great to me, especially the "gone" one! Gone is gone!!
I think there are so many varying of opinions that sometimes its hard to know what to believe. All I know is I do what I can, learn as I go and try and go with the flow. One thing I have learned is this is quite the ride!
Happy New Year!
