Last round of AC this Tuesday!!!
Hi Ladies
Last Tuesday I had my 3 round of AC. So far I have not had really bad side effects. This last round I had flu like symptoms after the Neulasta shot, but by Friday I was better. I told my Onc that I would like some type of scan to see if my tumors are responding. Today I had a Ultrasound on both sides. My left 2 tumors (2.3cm/9mm) TN have shrunk. The 2.3 about 40% to 1.4 and the 9mm about 1/3. My right tumors HER2+(9mm/1cm) cannot be found anymore on the Ultrasound! My last AC is on 10 Dec and then I go on to 12 rounds of Taxol weekly. I hope it all continues like this :-)

congratulations to you!
I start A/C next week for TNBC, I hope I fare as well with side effects. I will also get nuelesta. Did you keep your hair?
Wishing you more good results! -
That Adriamycin is powerful stuff! Good to hear you tolerated it well - sounds like it did the job.
Sometimes people get a port to help keep their veins healthy (hint to our friend from MA who might be a skier?) -
Hi neskir99
My hair started falling out bad around the 16 day (after 2 ac rounds). After 4 rounds I still have a thin longer bang and some thin hair on my temple area. I did not shave my head totally, so I still have some fuzz :-). Today was my last AC Yippi. I took Claritin a day before, that day and a day after. I had no bone pain, only
Some muscle pain 3rd round and flu like symptoms but not bad. Oh and drink a lot of water before during and after AC. I also had Ginger tea and ginger candy.
Now I cant stand the tea and candy anymore and have a bad time drinking water because it grosses me out. Here is what pre meds I got: Before AC- Emend,Aloxi ,Steroids, Adriamyacin and Cytoxin. The next day I got Steroids/Zantac/ Fluids/Magnesium (because low) and Neulasta shot. That night I would take
Vocodin before I went to bed just in case. The next morning was ok and by mid day some muscle pain (flu like symptoms would start).
The first round was great (no muscle ache at all) never had Nausea. Second round was ok. Third round (Neulasta on Wednesday)and by Saturday I was ok again. Fatigue was never a great issue either. My mouth was a littler dry and the coated tongue statyed around until about 4 days until my next treatment.
So all in all it was not that bad for me and I am very great full for that . Now I am a little worried about my Taxol that I am starting on the 31 Dec.
I think I forgot t mention that I had dense dose AC every two weeks and Taxol will be weekly. I wish you good luck with your treatment :-). If you have any questions feel free to ask me ok.

Just had my last A/C on Monday and now have 3 weeks off until my weekly Taxol/Herceptin starts. I am battling the fatigue and hoping it clears before my kids get here for the holidays.
Nervous to start Taxol. Worried about neuropathy and allergic reactions. I have ordered L-Glutamine to take after reading positive things on these boards. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas with no side effects and a cancer free new year. XOXOXOX
