A roller coaster of diagnostic challenges for my DCIS

21st Nov I get diagnosed with DCIS stage 3, 2cm which is presenting as a lump. This was diagnosed by a ultrasound/biopsy as nothing showed on mammogram. 1 week after I have MRI. One breast surgeon says the results are neither here or there and offers lumpectomy, another breast surgeon says high probability other areas of cancer and offers therapeutic mammoplasty. This morning a third surgeon calls to say they want me in tomorrow for another ultrasound and more biopsies. Talk about a roller coaster - I don't know what each day will bring! Rant over xx

    Yeah, isn't cancer just great?

    It's a surprise a day!

    And who doesn't love surprises? Singing. . . Shocked. . . Bawling!!!

There are lots of great things about this website, but one of the greatest is that you can rant here, and everybody understands.

Good luck with your additional ultrasound and biopsies. I really hope that your final diagnosis remains DCIS and that there is just the one 2cm area. But if that's not what happens, you will take a few deep breaths, maybe rant a bit more, and then deal with it. And you'll get lots of support here. (((Hugs)))
