enlarged lymph node anyone ?

Options

Sigh. I had my appointment with my surgeon last week and she felt lymph node under my right arm. She said it was about 1 cm. I recently had a baseline MRI ( per radiologist) have having bilateral MX three months apart. I guess its been two years since the first surgery 12.28[ which was the right breast extensive DCIS] and the other one was shortly afterwards.

I wanted to cancel my ultrasound on the lymph node scheduled for tomorrow. I am just tired of spending my scheduled says off at the doctor. My mother was also diagnosed with lung cancer this year. She had surgery and chemo so it seems very long period time the two us and our appointments!

Has anyone had a lymph node that need to take a look at following a bilateral? sigh. I was going to reschedule tomorrow's appointment but the clinic is closed due to bad weather today.

Hey Greenpeace, sorry that this is going on, but I'd say go do the ultrasound & get it over with. I don't know whether you've had one before, but they are at least easier than a mammogram. I know when I had mine (it was when I was diagnosed) the tech did a needle biopsy of a couple nodes right then. I sure do know about the spending a long time at appointments. I was taking care of my dad who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer when I was diagnosed. We both had the same oncologists. There were days when I was at the hospital for four different appointments between me, my dad, and my 85 year old mom, the parking valets would tease me about spending more time there than the docs.

Thanks. Looks like I am going in tomorrow for the ultrasound. Its like you can never relax. Not to mention the lack of sleep and random pain. I am really grateful my mother is well. I am sorry about your Dad. That must have been very difficult .
