Chemo and muscle tightness?

Hi

I just finished my chemo two weeks agao (TCx4). I have been exercising through chemo (at much lower pace) and doing yoga. I noticed after my last treatment my muscles feel so tight and even "ache". I did not do the nulesta shot so I know it is not that. I ran 3 miles one day and felt like I had gone out to run 20. I know my counts are low and I am pretty breathless on these runs (but they keep me happy so I do them) but this muscle tiredness/tightness is new.

Just curious if anyone else experienced this? Sometimes they even feel like that are going to cramp and I can feel a slight spasm in them too. Maybe I am dehydrated.

Thanks!

I just finished TC x4 2 weeks ago also, and also have walked every day...3-4 miles (ran for 1st 2 rounds...walked after that). My muscles are very tight, and I do feel like i have run a marathon each time i go out. I have always been very flexible, but now my leg muscles are very, very tight. i am hoping time heals it.

I had the same thing on taxotere and I had my last treatment 5 weeks ago. Heck my legs felt better after finishing a marathon than they did after a 20 minute run where I walked half of it. I had an appointment with my oncologist today and mentioned it. He advised that it will go away, it's just that taxotere is nasty stuff and needs to make its way out of my system. My runs had been getting a bit easier but they are on hold right now due to having had surgery earlier this week. I'm hoping that it will all feel better when I start running again.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate knowing I am not crazy. Hoping we are always back to running and feeling good by the spring/summer!
