Today, as I near my 4th Thanksgiving since my diagnosis, I wanted to share what I am most thankful for and would love for you to do the same.
I am thankful for my family and friends who held me up when I needed it most.
I am thankful for my doctors, PAs and nurses who got me through my treatments and who continue support me through my checkups with humor and hugs.
I am thankful for my new Boobs and flat stomach!!! (DIEP)
I am somewhat thankful for residual chemobrain!!! Gives me the perfect excuse for forgetting oh so much....
I am thankful for my new friends who I met during treatment and continue to meet as a volunteer back at Hillman Cancer Center.
I am thankful for Breastcancer.org for just being here for me when I just wanted to talk, research, and reach out to others who were going through the same.
Happy Thanksgiving
Fondly, Heather -
This is my first Thanksgiving 9 days post 1st chemotherapy.
I’m Thankful for my friend who said “come with me let’s get mammograms it would be fun”. Without her encouragement I would have waited a year and it would have been worst.
I’m Thankful for my husband who is cooking Thanksgiving for me and our friends and who takes me to every appointment.
I’m Thankful for friends that support and listen to you and hold your hand.
I’m Thankful for my Oncology Surgeon and the truth he speaks to me and he is such a science nerd he doesn’t dumb it done to me (I’m a science nerd too).
I’m Thankful he referred me to breastcancer.org. I have found tons of advice and pointers.
I’m Thankful for the life and the obstacles that come along with it.
Happy Thanksgiving! -

I am thankful and grateful to the amazing team of women at my Oncololgist's office for their compassion, patience and sincerity AND some amazing advice - Xgeva shot in the stomach doesn't hurt a bit!!! Who knew?
I am thankful and grateful to my entire team of physicans who were direct, compassionate and skilled throughout this year helping me through 5 surgeries and 5 chemo.

I am thankful and grateful to friends and friends of friends who came to my aid, cooked meals, called, sent notes and delivered flowers or walked my dog.
I am oh so grateful to be in a holding pattern with BC
Lastly, I am so very thankful AND so very grateful for God's loving Grace. I believe he carried me throughout this horrible year, through the hands of my loving husband. I believe my husband truly is a gift from God.
This message I am sharing only with you wonderful ladies but I repeat it every night in my prayers.
Happy Thanksgiving!
