Stressed out....Chemo Brain Question & New Lump :(

Hi all...I finished my last Herceptin treatment in August and finished taxotere, carboplatin in December.

My "chemo brain" has gotten terribly bad and my dr has ordered a nueropsych test. (soonest i could get in is Dec)  Has anyone else had to do that?

Also found a new lump in armpit on opposite side as the cancer originated.  Having it removed next friday.

Sooo stressed out about all this!

    I'm sorry to hear you're going through all this.


    We seem to have had treatment at almost the same time - I finished Herceptin in July 2013 - and chemo in August 2012.


    In case this helps, I noticed new lumps in the opposite side too. Had an exam and ultrasound and was told they are just cysts.


    I have wondered about chemo brain too - have occasionally muddled up words - but the longer the time away from chemo and Herceptin the sharper in the brain I've become. A week's treatment with Ear Calm for ear infections cleared up that fuzzy feeling too.

    Thank you for your response!  I got my biopsy results back and NO CANCER!  The lump turned out to be attached to a lymph node so i was quite concerned til i got my results back.  I previously had a mastectomy & node removal on my right side, now this on my left...I have 2 numb armpits now.  I know of chance of lymphedema in the future but does that mean only on my right side?
