Bravo Science Gal!! Way to go!! Like you, I am focusing now on maintaining my loss through the holidays. -
Way to go Science Gal! Congratulations. I know it must be fun to see the results of all that work. -
Whoo Hoo!!! Hoping we will all be joining you soon!
-
A good motto!
-
Weighing in early. Up to 130.5 this morning. Going to be at DS & DIL, and their scale doesn't match mine. Wish me luck, since I won't be able to catch anything early. -
Ruth, that's a very good motto! Wren, good luck and happy Thanksgiving! I'll "see" the rest of you tomorrow! -
Down 300 grams. Yay! Leaving for a brunch party now so will probably more than compensate.
-
152.6 for me this morning which isn't an impressive drop but it is a drop. Heidi, good for you. Ruth, I too like that motto as it can be applied to so many things in life. -
Down 1.5 lb to 118.9 this morning, probably mostly to due the cold I've had that has taken away my appetite. At least I won't feel bad if I am up a bit next week.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! -
So frustrated. Weight is up 3 lbs the last couple of days, now I need to lose 8 instead of 5. GRRRRRR. I have got to get this under control and fast.
-
down .2, not so bad considering that my Book Club met last night. My strategy for Thanksgiving is to eat everything I want tomorrow and then STOP.......not keep the Food Fest going over the weekend.
Happy Holidays ladies, lets get through it without a net gain. I am thankful for all of YOU!
-
Ruth, love your strategy!
I was doing so well til DH accepted an invite from friends to a Mexican restaurant last night.
So my scale says that burrito weighed 2 pounds. Hmmm. I don't usually do too much damage on Thanksgiving because I only like ham, salad, green bean casserole (which nobody in DH's family ever serves) and pumpkin pie. So ham, salad, and a sliver of pie of a size that won't shock my size zero inlaws. (NOT exaggerating.)
It's the Christmas cookie season that ruins me....
Anyhoo....here's hoping I can work off that burrito today and start tomorrow at yesterday's weight. -
I don't know about the rest of you, but right about now, I'm very thankful that I won't be weighing in again for another week. A Blessed Thanksgiving to you all! -
150.2 this morning. I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving. -
I'm down 0.2 lb to 118.7 lbs this morning. Happy to have survived Thanksgiving still under my goal weight. -
up .5 a pound. Time to get back on track!
-
Kudos to you ladies losing over Thanksgiving - and Ruth, .5 lbs is not bad at all. But it is time for us all to get back on track to offset all the holiday goodies. Such a difficult time of year to "be good".
So I haven't weighed in two weeks, and one of those weeks was spent in New Orleans! But still, I gained 3 lbs back to 160.5 Honestly, I thought it was going to be more like 5 or 6 lbs by the way my pants are fitting, so I am relieved that it isn't worse. So it is 7.5 lbs to go for the Christmas challenge - which is 3 weeks from today, so probably not happening for me. -
I had an advantage this past week. Our Thanksgiving was back in October. -
No losses...but no gain.
So I'm crabby and happy. -
Stayed the same - which is higher than I want to be. -
down 100 grams. No Thanksgiving here. But a big 60th birthday bash for my BIL coming up so have to get ready weightwise by then. -
Still weighing in at 137. At least I am not gaining and since they are calling for rain, I can feel the difference in my legs and will need to put on my stockings...grrr
-
I haven't checked in for a couple of weeks due to vacation. I weighed exactly the same after vacation and thanksgiving both, but last weekend I had a bit of a blow out. I got back on track Monday leaving me a half pound up this morning. I still have hope to lose two or three pounds before the new year but it will take some dedication. -
Twohobbies, sometimes blow outs are good, the body's way of saying, "I need nutrients." I'm hoping not to have any blow outs until Friday though. I can and will lose at least 500 grams by then.
-
I have had two blowouts since weighing in last Wednesday and I don't think they had anything to do with meeting nutritional needs. They were more about eating out with fun friends at awesome restaurants. Still tracking those WW points to keep myself honest, though. -
My blow out involved apple cider donuts which I may have mentioned this specific craving in an earlier post. But really it's not being prepared and having too little food in the house and then inhaling stuff I know I shouldn't eat. I've been really good now this week so I'll be interested to see what the scale says tomorrow. -
Down 100 grams. I wish it had been more as I now realize we have a party tonight. Hopefully I can still maintain the trend til Friday.
-
Things are looking up since they are going down.147.4 this morning. Down 2.8 pounds. Seems a bit much but I've not done anything differently this week. We are coming to a really difficult time of year to watch our caloric intake. I intend to stay the course and I'm just stubborn enough to do it. I can see lots of treadmill time in my future. I hope we're all lighter on our feet this week going in to a busy season.
-
I am down 1.1lbs. My goal now is three more pounds by the end of the year but if I happen to lose more that would also be great. -
down .9 of a pound, which means that I lost the Thanksgiving .5 and another .4......if I am REALLY good, I SHOULD have the 10 off by Christmas.
