Do any of you write poetry about your cancer?

Just wondering...I have in the past, and just wrote my first one again since my dx of Stage IV last Oct 2012. Would love to read/share these poems if others would also?

    I've just been recently diagnosed. My husband started writing short, funny poems while he was sitting in various waitng rooms. I started making silly short poems also about daily things. I'd like to read your poems!


    Your's are probably deep, and insightful! Mine aren't. I hope you won't be offended if I share one from today. I live in Ohio & we're getting snow and the roads are bad tonight.


    A con man is slick.


    The roads are slicker.


    I may have cancer,


    but my mind is sicker.

    lie and mouse , yes I write poetry. Not necessarily just cancer though. I have a Haiku thread you are welcome to pop into. It's not always just haiku. Although I find that a form actually helps my mind! I love yours mouse! Too funny.


    Cancer and poetry might seem far fetched.


    Like those two simply would not have meshed.


    But humor just finds its own way in,


    Life without Laughter's really a sin.


    Say what you will; I say it a lot,
