Anyone use a Vitamix or similar machine?

Options

My family purchased a Vitamix this weekend for health issues. We believe the nutrient-dense Vitamix beverages and other recipes may help with our overall health.

Does anyone else have a Vitamix and any recipes (or ingredients) you feel may help fight BC? I do my own research, but would love to hear personal stories.

I am on Arimidex, so have to avoid anything that might potentially interfere with that ... but would love to hear of anything that might help with aromatase inhibitor side effects as well. Thanks!

Hi, ByFaith - we bought our Vitamix at Costco several years ago and we use it at least 3 or 4 times a day. Ours came with a recipe book - did yours?

I also think that there are recipes on their website...

I'm at the salon right now but will check our favorites when I get home.

p.s. We love it so much, it travels with us on vacation!

love, love, love my Vitamix. We have had it for about two years now and it is used primarily for making smoothies for breakfast. I'm a fan of green smoothies as I get veggies in that way. My typical smoothie contains water, a handful of baby spinach, one baby cucumber when in season or on sale, some hemp seeds for protein and fruits. Sometimes the fruits are frozen, sometimes fresh, it depends on what I have on hand. I'll sometimes put in lemon juice and maple syrup if I want it a little sweeter. I tend to eye ball everything and it's always a bit different every time I make it. My container is usually about half full before blending and it fills a large Starbucks cold travel cup.

I haven't focused on cancer fighting foods, just on getting more nutritious meals overall.
