Sharp pains near the site of their radiation 2 years later?

Several times a week I have severe pain near the site of the radiation on my left breast. It doesn't feel like it is in my breast but rather under the ribs. The doctor says this is normal. I had a lumpectomy followed by chemo then radiation. Anyone else having this type of pain?

    I wouldn't say that this pain is "normal". It may not be unexpected that rib pain could occur after rads. The pain could be the result of nerve damage or several things that need to be treated or watched. Both my MO and RO would order tests if I came to them with such a complaint. Which doctor were you seeing and who else do you still see? If it continues I'd try to get one of them to send you for an X-ray or some other appropriate test. Insist on it.
