New Lump
I went to my Oncologist today for my 3 month check-up and she is concerned about a bump in my underarm area. Ultrasound Monday. Will I lose everything? I finally just started feeling a bit good about life again in only the past few days? Will I have chemo again? Get sicker? Worse lymphedema? Lose my reconstruction? My hair? Don't think I could do any of it again. I truly don't. Not sure I would try.

I'm sorry to hear this Mariasnow. Did she say that it could be scar tissue...? I hope you get good news from the US on Monday. -
She said it could be scar tissue. Yes. She wasn't sure what it was and wanted to take action to find out. Thanks for the well-wishes. I'm not doing well at all. This is kind of funny but I ate a couple of orders of fire-roasted artichokes and now I feel really sick. Come to find out one artichoke has over 1000 calories and I ate 4 -
I don't understand I thought chemo was to prevent this again, And so soon. Hopefully it's nothing! Good Luck -
Mariasnow - Can completely understand that you would be scared and worried. Try to take a deep breath and relax - or maybe a big glass of wine and relax. There are a lot of things that lump could be - and it's a good thing that your doc wants to make sure that it's not a recurrence. Take things one step at a time. You don't have to think about chemo right now, you just have to go in and get the lump checked out. I know that you are strong enough to do that, because yoiu went through chemo before which means that you are one super strong woman. Let us all know what happens. Many hugs. -
That lump turned out to be benign but I have a new bigger one - which has me even more worried! Trying to get an appt with my Onc until 2/13. Gonna keep trying to get in.

Thanks for the good vibes, mom. I have a surgeon looking me over today, I had a bunch of bloodwork taken yesterday and a CAT scan Monday. We will know soon enough. In the meantime I am alternating between handling it, losing my mind, and just being kind of detached and in outer space.
