"Area of concern" on my skull

Options

So I'm having an xray to follow up on a bone scan that shows a hot spot on the left side of my skull.....after pressing around I've found a spot that is painful to put pressure on. My oncologist seems nonchalant about the whole thing but that does not make me feel any better. She said it could also be arthritis (seriously? I'm 30 years old). Anyways I was wondering from those who have bone mets on your skull how they were diganosed and what they feel like?

Nicole, I have been recently diagnosed with bone mets  and the left side of my skull has mets. It started as on and off pain when I turned my head and some day's it didn't hurt at all, It could be so many things like paget's disease of the bone (benign condition) or arthritis, hope you get your answers soon. I will keep you in my prayers    Connis
