Dancing with the Stars

Too many times this season there have been 2 or 3 couples given the same judges score when the performances have not been of equal value. There has been no celebrity that has been particularly inspirational.I think the cast needs to have more pasion about the show in order to generate and maintain viewer interest.
-
Yes, disclaimer, if you haven't seen the results, don't read because I'm going to make comments regarding the voting.
I agree with all the comments. I am very disappointed with the results. Now three celebrities are heading to the semi finals that are sub-par: Jack, Leah and Bill. Makes for a lackluster show. Sorry, but Bill ought not to be there. Yes, he gives cute performances, but it's time for him to go. I thought the big bow he wore as Willie Wonka looked ridiculous, and his routines are seeming stale to me.
I did like the all the trio dances, they seem to do a good job adding a third partner to all the couples. I have to wonder if Val is straight or gay. Seriously. Not that I care one way or the other. But for some reason, I question that. I loved seeing Peta again as well as Mark and Gleb is just yummy.
Still, something seems off this season. -
I am so mad about the voting thing, it absolutely makes no sense to vote on the dances from the week before & the judges have been so inconsistent....to put it mildly. I have never liked Elizabeth, but thought she really stepped it up last night & certainly was at a much higher standard than Leah, Jack, or poor Bill....who, nice as he is, has zero reasons to still be around. If their ratings are down this season, we know why!!!!
-
Leah and Bill have to go. Elizabeth was a much better dancer. I like Jack but he isn't the best dancer. And if Corbin was a dancer on Broadway As they said last night, how is that fair? Bill does have fans and he is fun but he isn't up to the level he needs to be. I absolutely do not get Leah. No connection whatsoever for me. Amber did not do so well either. -
I heard someone say they should give the judges one vote during the season to 'save' someone if they get voted off, like they do with the Idol judges. Might be a good idea.
And what about the double elimination they said they were gonna have but haven't had yet? They coulda got rid of Bill last night maybe if they'd done that. And do the judges know ahead of time who's got more votes from viewers so they score accordingly? Like trying to give Elizabeth high scores (she deserved them) to try to keep her in the game? I don't know, I'm sure a lot goes on behind the scenes we have no idea about. -
Ladies get out your fans, I just read Maks is back next week as a guest judge woohooooooooooo -
Well, at least he knows something about DANCING!
-
woo-hoo! Maybe some real excitement added to the show! Spice it up! Interested to hear his comments -
Yes the good news in all of this is that Maks is back!Sorry but Bill just needs to go~
-
Make should be great as a judge! And Bill and Leah should go. -
Yes, looking forward to his comments. -
and after them, Jack.....doesn't leave many to choose from!!!!!!
-
Yes, the voting has been so skewed this season, all the good dancers leaving too soon. Leaves little excitement for the grand finale. -
Haven't watched this season...sounds like I didn't miss much! -
Sadly, you haven't!
-
wondering if there will be another shocker elimination tonite. More exciting to see Maks and how he does judging -
I know I can't wait to see what he brings to the judging table! -
Not unhappy with the results.
-
Me either.
Amber----girl was on fire. I loved her first dance, it was my favorite of the night.
The placement of Max after Len on the judges desk was odd, since they had him critique before Len....couldn't they have seated him next to Carrie Anne? Well, him and Karina were an item way back when, and it seemed he harbored no bad feelings towards her, then she even kissed him.......oh, I'm sure there's lots of behind the scenes stuff we have no idea what goes on.
It seemed they glossed over Corbin's previous dance experience.
Brooke's hair, yuck.
I thought it was interesting that Kevin James, who played Leah's husband all those years on King of Queens, has never made any kind of appearance on her behalf during DWTS. She's had all other kinds of celebrities in her corner, but wouldn't you think he would have at least taped something to show his support? It seems very telling to me. -
I didn't like either Jack or Bill's first dances, but thought they both did quite well on the second. Both Amber & Corbin are great and experienced dancers & have partners who know how to bring out each of their strengths. Did I miss an explanation on how the finals will go? Will it just be Monday night? And if so, will 'our' votes from this week be the last audience vote?
-
I am of course am on west coast feed so it's still going on, I loved Amber and Derek's routine so much it wound it back and watched it again and it was even better the second time, well deserved score. Wasn't impressed with Jack and Cheryl it was just okay. -
Ruth I think I heard something mentioned about Tuesday. Maybe it was a slip of the tongue. Can't find anything online about next week. -
Yes they just said Tuesday nights finale so next week it ends. Enjoyed Jacks second dance so much more and Corbin was terrific. When I was there, there was a guy in the audience that everyone was fawning over ahhhh tonight I saw who it was, it was Ambers manager who also manages Justin Beiber, no wonder they were all falling over him -
I remember they'd said the final week would air two nights. And the fall season typically ends just before Thanksgiving. November is "sweeps month" for the networks, they put on all their best shows that month to try to get the best ratings so they can charge the biggest bucks for advertising, so that's why they position the finale that way.
Well, they never did have a double elimination, did they? Maks' judging was so so. He makes a better dance professional. More to look at! -
I wasn't unhappy with the elimination. Much as I enjoy Bill and his performances, he just isn't the caliber of the others. That being said, I don't think there doesn't seem to be anyone outstanding with the star quality of previous seasons, or is it just me?
Just checked the guide, show is on both Monday and Tuesday. Good insight about sweeps, Divine Mrs M. And you're right, no double elimination as previously mentioned. -
I enjoyed having Maks back but I agree I like him better on the dance floor. I also am not unhappy about Leah leaving but Bill better NOT win it, he is just not a dancer. Jack has improved but not sure who I would vote for. Interesting that Corbin has danced in the past but they sure didn't bring up much about it. I enjoyed Amber's first dance very much and thought she did a good job on the second one also.
Well next week we will know! Strange season this time. -
Very strange and kind of 'flat' to me.
-
Well I want Amber to win. I think that with all the professional dancing Corbin did it is just too much. I know Amber dances on glee, but I'm pretty sure e she didn't get lessons from Debbie Allen! LOL Bill has to go. Just ask is one of favorites but he is not the caliber of the others. But I love the Osburnes. Say what you will, at least they love each other and that's pretty clear. -
I don't mind the Osbournes, and Jack's okay to be in the finals, but WHAT in the world is with Kelly Osbourne's purple hair. No matter how you look at it, that stuff is ghastly and reminds me of all those old ladies with blue hair. Then she styles it in horrible ways. I don't see any fashion to it whatsoever. Last night, a young lady at the library who waited on me had the most beautiful hair cut and style that I commented on it. The hair was auburn, but then she had bright red highlights. Not red hair highlights but red like paint and it looked gorgeous, artistic, and I hadn't seen those kinds of highlights. Kelly's hair is flat, drab, outdated. -
I am also pulling for Amber, yes she's on Glee but up until then she was a singer not a dancer, I really like Corbin and Jack but all my votes the other night were for Amber, that first dance was so darned clever and the more I watched the more I saw all the intricacies.
