Prayers for Nancylee13

I got the call from my surgeon today. I will go up to Billings on August 2nd for a "chat" and then my mastectomy will be August 3rd. They're mailing me the times because I actually got the call while in my pickup driving down the highway and I told the nurse that I didn't have a pen and was terrible at remembering times. She said she'd mail me the details since I have a couple of weeks. Thank you for your continued prayers on my behalf. Life is Good Smiles NancyLee

For you Nancylee hope you are busy

Carrie -
Good Morning Carrie--I came on to read the morning prayers. I'm scrounging around my house trying to find bobby sox to roll down and the right pants to roll up for the relay tonight. I'm starting out with walking shoes on--actually own a pair of saddle shoes from the rock & roll era, but I don't think I want to wear them just for looks and end up with a big blister. After a few laps, I'm gonna put my PINK crocs on. They're my most comfortable shoes. I'm also finishing up the luminaria bags this morning. It looks a little cloudy outside today and rained sometime during the night. I hope it clears up by Relay time tonight. Think of me trooping around the track all night--Hope you have a blessed day. Carrie--I'd post pictures if I knew how. I'm "picture challenged". My friend took some pictures of the HOPE luminaria setup in the bleachers and one of me by one of my luminarias. I'd like to post them. The HOPE one is especially cool. It just glowed away for hours. Well, I have an appointment with my oncologist tomorrow at 11:15. We're going to discuss my surgery and options. Bless you--Life is Good Smiles NancyLee

Oh, Carrie, the oncologist appointment went as well as could be expected. I am indeed having my surgery on August 3rd at 9am. Then I left the office and walked to the nearby hotel and made room reservations for the days I will be there. Then I got in my jeep and started to drive to the store that sells lingerie for BC ladies. I got one block from the clinic and was hit by a large pickup truck that took the entire front grill and headlights, etc off my vehicle. I was just shaken up, the driver of the pickup was fine. I just got a call from the body shop that my jeep is probably a total loss. I've never had a car accident in my life. It was very unnerving. I'm taking today to just sit at home and try to relax. I have a massive headache, but I'm pretty sure it's just a delayed reaction to everything that happened yesterday. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. This candle is especially beautiful. Life is Good Smiles NancyLee
-
Nancylee,
Please be sure to mention your headache to someone
so they can keep an eye on you , it very well could be
from the accident. On August 3rd I will be saying prayers for you the surgeons and your medical staff taking care of you! We will all be with you in spirit cheering you on to
good health! geez a car accident ! I am so sorry that happened, unbelivable of all times in your life.
We need to say extra prayers for your Angel to pay bettter attention LOL ! Always in my Prayers Nancylee

Praying for you Nancylee,
today for Gods calm to fill you~

I think my Angel is napping or something. I've got a fever and the doctors believe it is because of the tooth on which they just started a root canal on the 19th. It has to go so I will be seeing an oral surgeon on Friday afternoon to get it out. I have to go in to town this afternoon and fill a prescription for an antibiotic so that I can have the dental surgery on Friday. Let's pray that my Angel wakes up by then. For you Nancylee ~

I am a tiny angel
I'm smaller than your thumb,
I live in people's pockets,
That's where I have my fun.
I don't suppose you've seen me,
I'm too tiny to detect,
Though I'm with you all the time,
I doubt we've ever met.
Before I was an Angel...
I was a fairy in a flower,
God, Himself, hand-picked me,
And gave me Angel power.
Now God has many Angels
whom He trains in Angel pools,
We become His eyes, and ears, and hands
We become His special tools.
And because God is so busy,
With way too much to do,
He said that my assignment
Is to keep close watch on you.
When He tucked me in your pocket
He blessed you with Angel care
Then told me to never leave you,
And I vowed always to be there.
Hugs,
Carrie -
Prayers going up for you Nancylee for protection

Carrie -
Thank you. I got back late Friday night from the tooth extraction. It bled a lot because my clotting factor isn't exactly the best at this point. I spent yesterday on pain killers because I was being a real baby and it really hurt. It's a lot better today. Thanks again for your prayers. Life is Good Smiles NancyLee
-
Oh geez Nancylee I remember the last time I had a tooth
pulled *OUCH* I am keeping you in my prayers sweet lady
Everything you have endured Praying for smooth sailing
for you and no more suprises !
Carrie -
Nancy Lee,
Prayers for a successful surgery. You tell the best stories. I agree with Carrie, no more surprises (except good ones)
Susan -
Carrie, I believe I read on the boards that you are also having surgery on Thursday. I will add an extra prayer for you that day. I'm taking a course in scripture memorization because I thought it might help my chemo brain recover in a constructive manner. I learn 2 new verses each week and review verses from the preceding weeks--so far so good. I thought I'd share the verse for today--It's Romans 5:5 "And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." I've always felt that there's been a little corner of my heart where hope runs wild all these years and now learning this verse of scripture has put it in a special light for me. Bless your heart for thinking of me and everyone else on this forum. Hope will not disappoint us. Life is Good Smiles NancyLee

My presurgical consult got bumped up from 2:00 tomorrow til noon today. So I went up and had the meeting and then checked into the hospital. I'm still having the surgery Thursday at 9 am at last word. Gosh, what a day. Thanks for your prayers. I think that it's true that--what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. I was talking to some of the same doctors, nurses and support people who were there at my first mastectomy 2 years ago and they all just kept saying, "You've been through SO much and you look really good". Let's just hope they weren't all lying just to make me feel better!! NO, anyhow--thanks again and my prayers are sent right back to all of you too. Life is Good Smiles NancyLee

I'm home from the hospital. I'm now waiting for the pathology report. My surgeon told me that it "looked good", but that they would call me today. I have to go back on Wednesday for a follow-up. My incision is still covered by steri-strips. Thank you for your prayers. I was so happy when I woke up in the recovery room. I know that all you sweet ladies were there holding my hands. Bless you all. Life is Good Smiles NancyLee
