    Shemp!
Thanks for sharing this, I feel like I was on the trip only my legs don't hurt!

I am familar with black flies, nasty biters they are! I loved reading your journal of food and scenery. Nothing beats home though! Funny you can't wait to leave, and when you are back home it feels so good!

Thanks for sharing this ... I really enjoyed reading about your trip - and seeing all the photos... sounds like it was very fulfilling... I used to do a lot of riding - mainly supported rides though ... I cannot imagine climbing some of those hills with the weight of all your gear. Thats' a tough climb!!!

Glad you enoyed it. I hope it's inspirational for some, and that it shows that it's not all that long before you can start living life fully again with a sense of normalcy. Heaven knows Kristen wouldn't have thought she'd be doing this 6 months after her last chemo treatment at that time. Optimism!By the way, I hope it was semi-entertaining and not too boring!

And that's exactly it. Even toward the end of chemo, my wife lost sight of the end, forgot what a normal life was like, and thought she'd not get it back. Now we can look back and say we have our lives back, just with a little less hair and in retrospect, it was just months after the last of the treatments.

So don't lose sight of the end, and set a goal for yourself. Not one based on a timeline, but one that allows you to say, "I'm back, I've beat this!" Maybe it's doing a skydive that you wouldn't have done before. Maybe it's hiking a trail you've always dreamed of. Perhaps it's jogging a 5k or biking a century ride. Maybe it's just taking a weekend to do absolutely nothing but pamper yourself at a spa with zero worries and no chores to do!
