Good morning ladies and thanks Pessa. 5-7-5 gets in your brain!
-
Cerulean sky / Splendid fall leaves majestic / Mother Nature smiles ♥
-
My turtle is old
I've had him thirty-eight years
He is my good friend
(my first haiku!) -
attawoman Pessa! :-)
-
Neighborhood canines / big woofers little arfers / a gauntlet of dogs.
-
Aspens turn yellow
Orange leaves fall on the ground
Fall in the Rockies!
A visit to our lovely mountains inspired me to write this! Have a great week all! -
Thanks! :-) -
way to go Pessa!
Mamasixta was good too!
Cant leave out Badger!
-----------
Haikus can be fun
not to mention addictive
My brain thinks that way.
----------
Beautiful words come
To showcase what we can see
And share it with you. -
mamasixtaz - nice!
Just found out today
Moon and I both like to watch
Dancing With The Stars!
-
Its not a secret
I watch for Jack and Amber
I hope Amber wins! -
Saw the sun today;
it peeked out between the clouds,
it still does exist!! -
More magnesium
Wasted a couple more hours
Watching drip, drip, drip. -
Mom is eighty three
Can't live alone any more
Move to Wisconsin!
-
Hopefully they will say that about us when the time comes (i.e., hope to live to 83 and beyond!)!
-
My mom was dx with BC 33 years ago, when she was 50. That was my age at dx. She's a ray of hope!
-
Its incredible
How the mind can follow form
And have it make sense.
______________
My DMIL had BC 20 years ago. Died of old age at 90. Hoping to get there too.Badger, Wheres your Mom living now? Is she moving here?
Pessa, I hope all is well. Had another magnesium tx today. But the Slo mag is better than the other mag. So even if I take 4 of them its better for me. Much love to all. -
All is well with me (and my turtle). Thanks for asking.
-
Monica, she's on the southwest coast of FL and yes is moving here, near where I work vs. where I live.
Found a place for Mom
Nice enough I would live there
Take good care of her
-
Cold wind brings the rain
Chill in the air and my bones
Time for hot cocoa
-
Full moon peeking through
the storm clouds gathering force
to bring rain, or snow?
-
No, no ,no, SNOW, NO!!!!
I dont want to see white stuff
Unless its ice cream! -
Whipped cream is good, too. ;-)
But try some fresh clean snow with
pure maple syrup!
-
Pure Maple Syrup
might taste pretty good on snow;
Just not right away! -
Lost a friend to this f****n disease. I will update a poem I wrote for a friend who's son died.
Our Tears We Add
I cannot write a poem today.
My heart is broken, shattered clay.
The news that passed from hand to hand
Twas sharp and cut bone deep; and damned.
Our tears we add as she is laid to rest
She never gave up, through all of life's tests.
Her pain is over, though we still cry
Knowing its time to say goodbye.
All that's left is to remember, and pray,
I cannot write..........
Rest in peace Michelle. -
Ok. Another Not Haiku! Just blame the weather!
First Snow
The first snowfall this season
Floats gently all around.
Draping over piles of leaves
Still left upon the ground.
So beautiful and shining white
Reflecting the Suns rays.
Green grass slyly peeking through
Last trace of sun filled days.
Soon melting into water
First Snow will never last.
Enjoying fresh snow again
Forgotten seasons past.
Soon enough will come the pain
Of moving snow along.
From driveways , sidewalks, rooftops.
It always seems so wrong.
Time will heal this pain too
As Winter comes to stay.
For now we'll dream of tulips
And wait for sunny Spring days! -
Feeling neglected
White space on page is blinding
Ha! Not anymore! -
Love does surround me
My husband and my children
Help me keep smiling
-
Greetings Moonflower!
Just checking in to say hi ~
Prodigal Badger.
-
hi Badger! Hi RedReading!
The cold settles in
Are you kidding me? 18?
Yes Winter is here! -
Cold days good for soup
Reading on couch with snuggie
Jack Frost windowpanes
