I thought I was done.........
So - LCIS dx in May of 2012. PBM 10/12 with implant reconstruction 11/19.......life is good.
Now a new mass has formed around the area of the first excision biopsy. Back to the OR I go tomorrow.
NOTHING is ever simple.

Hi Audrey - sorry to hear the news about the new mass. Sending positive thoughts to you from Arizona. -
Holding out my hand to you, Audrey. So awful to go through even more of these 'what ifs'. We'll be here no matter what happens: you will not be alone. -
Thanks all for the positive energy and warm thoughts!Just found out my sister is having a core needle biopsy tomorrow. Her rather callous radiologist stated he "thinks it's cancer". I told her to breathe, and know that it's only for sure cancer when the pathology report is back. (My radiologist LATER confided that he also thought my original lump was cancer but did not want to alarm me until the pathologists spoke. I like my guy better)

ugh. I am sorry you have to go through this.Good luck tomorrow. We're here for you. -
So sorry for all the worries Audrey. Hopefully yours is something simple like a suture. I'm so glad you are there to support your sister. Hugs! -
Well all, I learned that Alloderm tissue matrix + existing scar tissue can = proliferation of the scar tissue! Will know for sure early next week. Back at work today.Sister's biopsy went well.....my hint to distract herself by watching the ultrasound screen seemed to work. Second radiologist MUCH better than 1st, but he did tell her whatever it is it will need to come out (I will flip if she has a myofibroblastoma like I did......benign but needed to come out).
THANK YOU ALL for being here. What a great group of folks ....we're never alone!
XO,
Audrey

Praying both you and your sister get good news! Please keep us posted. -
The most beautiful word I could hear given the last 18 months.......BENIGN.
Fat Graft #2, here I come!
-
Just got word from my sister....IDC by core biopsy.
She's already in touch with the right folks in her area. Please keep her in your prayers.
-
Yay for benign!!! -
I am so happy for your benign biopsy! I hope all goes well with your sister. Sounds like you really dodged a bullet and made the right choice with your PBMs. -
Thanks again for being here all!
Leaf - I was thinking the same thing. Had the doc not removed the wrong "cyst" first........I never would have known.
Silver linings in every dark cloud.

So glad it's benign! Such a relief. I will keep your sister in my prayers. -
Sorry to hear the news for your sister.
But thrilled to hear your benign results. I love typing those words. Benign results!
