Rest in Peace Michelle. I pray for comfort, Peace and strength to get through the hardest of days to all her family and friends. xoxo
Joyce, I know how much you loved Michelle and how close you were, you also are in my thoughts and prayers.
Much love to all. -
I just learned of Michelle's death through Facebook. My heart breaks for Rick, her kids and grand kids. And for Joyce. They were more than friends. They were sisters. And they found each other on this site. I feel so blessed that I got to know Michelle, not only through her posts, but in person. She was an amazing, funny, smart and courageous woman. Rest in peace, my friend. -
Knowing that Michelle is no longer ill, but free of this disease, is a comfort, but my heart aches for those who loved her and will miss her - including all of us. She had such an indomitable spirit, it was easy to be her friend - here and in person. Time for us on this thread to gather in the proverbial kitchen again and support each other as we mourn her loss. Sending strength to all for the difficult days ahead. -
I intend to go back to this thread and start at the beginning. When I was looking up Seaside's black bean recipe I found so many of Michelle's postings. I will miss her and her antics. I too remember the bunny suit and will no doubt tear up when A Christmas Story comes on.
Knowing that she is no longer in pain but still my heart breaks for her family and for you Joyce and all of you that knew her personally. -
Michelle at Pickety Place -
Michelle -
trying to post a pic and it's not working
-
Laurie, on Michelle's Facebook photo section, there are some Pickety photos of all of us. Could you try that source to copy and paste from? Michelle was such a dear to post my family pix for me. I bet Deb also has the the Pickety Place photos on her Facebook page. I can just picture Michelle there walking the farm grounds with her beloved camera, taking animal photos. -
Fly with the angels Michelle, give my DH a big hug for me. L to R, sitting, ME, standing Hauntie aka Lynda, Laurie, Michelle and Joyce. 2nd--bedo, hauntie, deborye, LuvRVing, Lacey. 4th pic next to Lynda aka Hauntie is Morgan aka Lorri, the girl with the hat on I only met once, I think her avatar is DeeDee.

Whoops... I was searching for the pictures while you were actually uploading them. Taken mine down.
*susan* -
Thanks Deb! And how about the fascinator pix from last Fall? Was it you who took those? -
Lacey- those were the ones I was trying to post- I will try again. -
-
-
Please say who everyone is in the photos again?
-
left to right- Michelle, Joyce, Deb, Pat aka Lacey, I am in the front next to Michelle.
I suggest we all volunteer a favorite story or memory of Michelle.
Today I thought of when she shared her Sarah Palin photo of herself! She was so funny! Also, the time she had her grandchildren over and tripped holding yugurt and talked about how well it flew across the room! -
Excellent! And in the other pics?
-
I love, love, love that pic of Michelle wearing Deb's fascinator......gorgeous! A great way to remember her! Thanks Laurie....and Deb! -
Nance, in the second pic from the top, on the far left is Bedo, then Hauntie (Lynda), Deb, Michelle, and me. I am not sure who two of the yet to be identified ladies in the sports bar photo are along with Joyce, Michelle, Deb and Hauntie (Lynda). Hope that helps a bit. -
I'm so sorry I missed that last trip to Pickety Place. I love the picture of her wearing the fascinator. The first time we went to Pickety, I drove up with Joyce and Michelle. As soon as we got into the car Michelle said something like "well that's enough of that" and whipped off her wig. The second time we went, Joyce couldn't make it, so it was just Michelle and I driving together. I met her at her little house on the lake. What a lovely spot that was. We talked the whole way. I know some of it was about cancer, but don't remember the specifics of the rest of our conversation. She was just so easy to talk to and someone you felt you'd known your whole life, even though you just met. -
Thank you Lacey, I really appreciate knowing the faces of the names.
-
Laurie,
Here's Michelle's photo from her '5 Questions Thread'... She set the stage for Sarah Palin 10 years before Sarah Palin was a blip on anyone's radar.... Too funny! Although, as she said, politically they were worlds apart!
-
Seaside- Thats awesome! -
So loving the Pickety Place photos!! Laurie, that one with Michelle wearing Deb's fascinator... well that reduced me to tears... It really captured the essence of Michelle's personality! -
Yes, it is awesome. -
-
I would like to point out I am 5' 6''- and seem like an amazon next to these tiny ladies! -
Here is another group of BCO gals from the Boston thread, we met at Lat43 in Gloucester
. -
I'm so jealous, I want to meet you all!
-
I'm only 4'11, I lost 23 pounds since then.
