Wow I sure hope some of these media people would use this list to show the world that BC is far from being eradicated. I pray to God to find a better way for all women.

This is just awful for anyone, but these young women are breaking my heart. I was 41 and thought that was young. Then I started seeing 30's and now the 20's is just startling. I saw a post the other day on here from a 15 year old girl concerned because she had a lump in her breast. I just can't... -
27, bone mets from the start. Doc did ultrasound and said "we don't see anything" and was going to send me home. I asked for them to do a mammo as well (since that's why my PCP referred me there in the first place). They refused until my PCP called them and told them she wanted the mammo done because there was a clearly palpable lump--which was seen immediately during the mammo. Very frustrating experience. -

Not sure what I feel about mammos though. I felt my lump and it did not show up on mammo. Ultrasound found it. Later we found out I had a second cancer not found on mammo. Dense breasts are definitely a problem. I hope there is something better for my girls!

After diagnosis review of previous MRI showed Mets at 48
My cancer is lobular, never formed a lump.
My mother had BC twice, my sister was diagnosed with her 2nd BC 6 months after I was dx, Stage IV
I have two daughters, 24&22. Older daughter has sought expert opinion. They have advised annual mammograms. She has discussed profrolactic mastectomies with her doctors and considers it a serious option once she has children.
I NEVER missed a mammo. This just sucks.

56. No family history of ANY kind of cancer. BRCA negative. stage 1/grade 3 Triple Negative. 8 mm. lumpectomy-great margins, chemo was 4 ac and 3 taxol, radiation.
-
I was 46 when I was diagnosed. I have no history of ANY cancer in my family. I got mammograms at 40, 41, 42, 43, then missed 44 and 45 and boy am I sorry! I would NEVER let my daughter go without having a regular mamoogram, whether I am BRAC or not. My personal experience (now I am 53 and Stage IV!) says that it is not consistent with the message of catching BC early.
