Code Red Hamilton - Newspaper Series on Cancer Rates/Mortality

Code Red Hamilton

This is a link to a series of articles that will be running in the Hamilton Spectator (Hamilton, Ontario) newspaper on incidences of cancer and cancer mortality rates (and other things cancer-related) in the city.  The first article appeared in Saturday's edition and caught my eye because one of the things the journalists found was that - in Hamilton - there is a definite socio-economic factor to whether- or not cancer is survivable.  It's great food for thought.

FYI, Hamilton, Ontario is a city on the western tip of Lake Ontario in Ontario, population roughly 500,000-750,000.  It's a steel town with two major steel companies and lots of heavy industry.

i read this article Selena.. good series like the last one they did. Based on my own treatment and experience of cancer and hamilton i agree to a point.. its a complex issue no doubt but goes deeper than the socio economic status imo
