My mom had abnormal mamography, Fine needle biopsy returned "suspicios of carcinoma". She was sent to surgical biopsy, tumor was removed, sentinel node has not been marked, patohistological finding:

tumor 7 mm, gradus 1 - well differentiated

estrogen receptor positive 100%

progesteron receptor positive 55%

Her 2 negative (0)

but Ki67 = 20%

since Ki67 is borderline high and other characteristics relatively favourable , does anyone have any experience on therapy in similar situation?

Lana - Until the tumor is removed and the sentinel node is checked the docs won't know for sure what the therapy will be. The stats so far look good. I had a 1.1cm IDC, node negative, ER +, PR +, her 2 -, grade 2, Ki67 22%. Since I'd already had a mx, my therapy as determined after the oncotypedx test was Tamoxifen (premenopausal).  Maybe someone else will have better insight. The diagnosis process is a hurry up and wait affair. Best of luck!
