hi all. I'm 27 years old and just diagnosed. I found a lump and from there it seemed to escalated into "you have cancer". All I know is that it's invasive. How bad, I'm not sure yet.

I feel like maybe it's bad and they are waiting for the surgeon to tell me. Everyone keeps saying its normal to get your biopsy results back in 24 hours and it's normal to be scheduled to see the doctor 24 hours after your results. Either way- I'm freaking out and so scared. How my mother and so many other amazing women did this is beyond me.

Any thoughts or ideas anyone can share I would be extremely greatful.

I am so sorry you find yourself here and part of our BC club. My heart sinks every time another person gets diagnosed. You will find many amazing women here to support you, listen to your thoughts/fears and share experiences with. I have made some incredible friends through this site and though I am almost 3 years out from my diagnosis, I continue to talk with them on a regular basis. I guess that is one of the gifts out of getting BC....my wonderful new friends.

The beginning is the hardest part. Once you know your pathology and have a treatment plan you can start to knock out each step one at a time. Somehow it gets a little easier once you get started. There are also some threads on here for younger women in their 20's and 30's with BC. You may find it nice to chat with other women your age dealing with a similar situation.

Sending hugs and prayers your way.... :)

Thank you all very much.... I have finally accepted it, but not quite there yet in terms of showing I'm "strong". I know I am and its coming.

MRI and genetics counseling tomorrow, followed by oncologist Thursday and plastic surgeon next week.

Hi Grk1732 - I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. Another BCO sister (Wrenn) shared this link and I found it to be very powerful.  http://www.cancerlynx.com/sadness.html

Hugs to you and your family sweet girl.
