I finally got a copy of my results from Genoptix Aqua.

Er Neg Cutoff/Range 11 My Aqua score 2

PR Neg Cutoff/Range 30 My Aqua score 3

    HER2 Cutoff/Range 361 My Aqua score 395

    Ki-67 0-100%  My Aqua score 30%

Based on the IHC4 residual recurrence risk score of 158 out of 200, patients in this risk score range exhibited an 8 year cumulative recurrence rate of 76%.

Bugger! A 76% chance of recurrence at 8 years. Geez!

But supposedly I have a negative FISH score. I don't know about that. Didn't even know I had that test.

However, my onc and Genoptix and the the head pathologist from my onc's office are now conferring on my "unusual" case so I should know more by next Tuesday. That's progress.

I hope whatever they come up with will improve my risk score. I would kind of like at least a 50% chance of being cancer free for 10 years. Anyway, I'm going to live like I will be. Dance while you have the chance.

Good wishes and good test results to everyone!

    Hi Lelela and Hap:

I do know totally the angst you feel or have felt.

I went through turmoil when I discovered I had a narrow margin, and nobody told me.  I had to find out myself, and then had to open up an already closed chapter and investigate further.  It tears your world apart, the unknown, being the gray areas on everything, etc.  I understand, as I recently was there.  It is hard moving forward, because they just don't know. I was in a really really gray area of radiation, compiled with the fact that I was so far out from treatment, once I started asking questions.  Ultimately a 2nd lab determined my margin might also be a little wider, and the op report I got from the hospital (on my own accord) indicated some muscle also was removed, which added to the margin they said. My first narrow margin still did not suggest radiation, not even according to the NCCN guidelines, but I was asking to make sure that I had researched it well.

At any rate, it's hard and in the end, I just had to trust my doctors.  I was trying to make sense out of so much material, and really understand the differences.  My Oncologist talks about qualitative vs quantitative methods, and he is the expert.  So in the end, I had to trust both medical boards to not have the radiation.  It was extremely stressful and tense around our household for those several weeks while we went through this whole process.

Lelela - your Dana Farber team sounds excellent.  You are in a part of the US where you have some of the brightest specialists with TNBC.  You will do extremely well!

Hap - I know the meltdowns - I had a bad day recently.  But remember, we have all found this early.  Early detection is key!

Keep up the positive spirits ladies -- you are all in my thoughts today!

    Sending you hugs!

I was diagnosed for tn, 1.2cm tumor, 0/3 node, age 40. I also was giving 3 options. TC x 4, or AC x4 followed by 12 weekly taxol, or ac x 4 followed by t x 4. Still can't make up my mind... Help?

I did 4 AC then 4 taxol. It wasn't easy but I wanted to get it over with and I did fine. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be glad to help.

I was just diagnosed today triple negitive 8mm breast cancer. My Dr said treatment is lumpectomy which I had 5 days ago and radiation. My problem is I had cancer before, esophageal cancer and had radiation, chemo and surgery. Since I had radiation they might not be able to do it again the recomendation was mastectomy and 3 1/2 months chemo. I am still looking into my options.
