Ambry Genetics, DNA Traits, and University of Washington have been offering BRCA testing since pretty much the day after the court decision. Ambry Genetics and U of W both offer larger panels that go beyond BRCA. All three of them do to date cost less than Myriad for either equivalent to BRCAnalysis or even in many cases for a fuller gene panel.

I was tested through Ambry Genetics back in July. Mine was out of pocket, but I understand that many insurers have also approved some of the other testers, including Ambry.

When I was tested, Myriad was the only available laboratory (and I specifically asked - it was pre-court order though). I'm just glad that finally with Quest's nationwide lab network (and LabCorp's since I know they won't be far behind offering the test if rival Quest is) that awareness will increase that patients have more choices than Myriad. Something about trying to patent human genes really rubbed me wrong with them. Choice is never a bad thing.
