xtandi

Options

I am a week into a trial for xtandi. It has been used for prostate cancer. I had to have my tumor checked to see if I was AR positive. I hAve TNBC. So far the SE's are fatigue and back pain. It'll try to keep an update here, since so few women have been on it.

Looking forward to hearing how you're doing on it. Good luck!

Day 11 - having a hard time with muscle spasms. Saw my PCP and was given a script for Skalaxin. It does not make you drowsy like some others can. I had it approved by trial nurse. Also had flu shot approved.

Cognitive dysfunction big time. I think I would now be afraid to drive.

Turns out not all days are bad. Some I awaken confused and it doesn't clear until early afternoon.

Having an MRI, due to the back pain. Bone scan showed lesions concerning for mets.

I meet with the trial doctor on 9/23 to dicuss MRI results and find out if I can stay in the trial, pending results.

Mets from T3 - T12. It did not effect my being in the trial. I will have a CT scan next week, to see if the drug is working. A progression of over 5% - means I would be out of the trial. I see the MO and research team in a week.

CT showed progression. I'm out of the trial.

That sucks. I hope the next treatment will slow down this train.
