are in the Active Topics board. Inside the OPs are links to a survey. Why so many threads about this, and does the OP have permission to link this survey?

Yorkiemom, looks like spam to me. If I don't miss my guess the Mods will be onto it in short order I would say. Also when you see posts like this you can report it as spam, by clicking the "Report this post" link up by the avatar.

Thanks Musical. I would advise everybody not to click on that link.

I think I'll report it. Been looking through and theres no Mod announcements to say different. Also this obnoxious person has only posted 8 times last time I looked which is a dead giveaway.

Good idea Yorkie, just looked at the rules and under 12 it says: (bold mine)

You agree not to advertise or promote any goods or services or solicit anyone to buy or sell goods or services, or to make donations of any kind, without our express written approval. "Junk mail", "spamming", "chain letters", "pyramid schemes" and similar activities are strictly prohibited.

Im sure if the mods approved this they would notify us with an announcement which I cant find.

It's not spam but if they don't have permission from the Mods, then it is a rules violation. It's Masters students coming here to survey cancer patients. To me, posting it all over a discussion board for women who are actively undergoing cancer treatments seems a bit disrespectful - it's as though they don't appreciate why women are here and that most of the posters here have bigger things to deal with than completing some survey for a group of students. If they just put it in one appropriate forum, and if they had Moderator permission, that would be fine.

I completely agree with Beesie. It seems that their posts have now been removed.

Honestly if I couldve clicked both buttons I wouldve for I see it as both. Either way Im sure the end result will be the same.

Anyway, surely people would read the rules especially on such a delicate subject as BC.

Musical, one would think so! But as we know insensitivity toward bc patients is alive and well.
