My mother had cancer on her right breast. Three moths ago she had mastectomy

She is going for radiation very soon. Some time she feel very pressure on her right side. She felt very heavy. Is this lymphedema ? If yes do I have to talk with her oncoligistor surgen?

Any information will be helpfull.

it could be, best to talk to her surgeon or her oncologist or even the radiation onco and ask what they think

it could just still be healing from surgeries but good that you are watching out for her, means you are a good daughter

note, my LE is in my boobie and can be seen clearly on my mamo as a while layer around the boobie

Have her call her Dr(s) and request a referral to a Certified LymphEdema Therapist. There is also the possibility she has developed a seroma (you don't say how long ago surgery was), if so Dr needs to be seen. By law unless you are her Court Appointed Advocate - for you to call and discuss her issues with medical staff you have to be listed on her records as "OK" (Hubby and Son are listed with all my medical 'places' so if they want to/feel they need to tallk with my Drs. they can LEGALLY!)

"Heavy" means a lot of different 'things' to different people.
