New drug approved; see link:
-
This drug has been around for years and IMO should have been approved years ago for early stage patients requiring chemo. Many of us would not have been left with permanent neuropathy from Taxol if we were allowed to get Abraxane! It is the toxic adjuvent carrier in Taxol that caused so many side effect problems for patients. When I asked to be switched from Taxol to Abraxane I was refused as it was not yet approved for us patients. Again, this is not a NEW drug simply it took them years to FINALLY allow access to another group of patients.
