MS and chemotherapy

I was just diagnosed. I am wondering what effect having chemo would have on multiple sclerosis might have? Anyone out there with MS? If so, did chemo have an effect on your MS?

    Hi Joan, I don't have MS but there is a thread started quite a while ago now that is for women with MS and BC. There is a lot of information regarding treatment and problems because of the MS.


    If you use the search area using MS as your key word I think you will have no trouble finding it.

    thanks, Chrissy . I saw that but hoped to find something more up to date. MS doesn't cause death, but BC can.

    Joan did you read through the thread? Why I ask is one of the posters, 3jaysmom, posted a lot there as she also has MS but because of her progression with the MS and other health problems she doesn't come here very often anymore. She was very knowledgeable and very happy to share her experience. She did tell me that some BC treatments do interfere with the MS and she had to make some hard choices because of it but for the life of me I cannot remember what they were.

    I have MS and was diagnosed with BC on November 27,2013. Everything about BC still new to me.


    I don't have an answer for you but please share your experiences because it doesn't appear to be many of us with MS and BC.


    I will try and share my experiences as I travel on this journey.
