TODAY WE MEDITATE ON THE JOYFUL MYSTERIES
FOURTH MYSTERY: The Presentation. And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. ...When the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said: "Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation... A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel." And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother: "Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed."(Luk 2,22-35) Virtue: Obedience
Spiritual Fruit: Purity of mind and body
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and
earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was

under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He

Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name, Thy kingdom

temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.

carrie, if you do not have a rosary will i still be able to get the same blessing? my husbands family would be upset with me if i bought one(so i am afraid if i do they will get upset) my family on my mothers side always have said the rosary, and we always had a bowl of holy water to begin with. but my husbands family are kinda mean to me,when i even tell stories about me and my nana doing this together. this is soooooo special to me, but i worry if i do not use the beads it (the prayer) will not be as powerful. love, debbyfive

Scripture Reading, John 19: 25-30
Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
After this, aware that everything was now finished, in order that the scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I thirst." There was a vessel filled with common wine. So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his mouth. When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, "It is finished." And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit. FIFTH MYSTERY: The Finding in the Temple. Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him: "Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing". And he said unto them: "How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. (Luk 2,41-51. Virtue: Piety

When they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back; it was very large. On entering the tomb they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed. He said to them: "Do not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Behold the place where they laid him. But go and tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you.' "

THE ANNUNCIATION
Scripture Reading, Luke 1: 26-33, 38
In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary. And coming to her he said: "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you." But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her: "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.". . . Mary said: "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her. Virtue: Humility. Carrie:
Said the rosary yesterday and united my prayers with all of those from the other sisters on the board. This morning I went to Mass and prayed for all of us - especially those going through the roughest times right now. I will say at least a decade of the rosary today - if not all, that is what I will aim for. Thank you so much for doing this!!!
My daughter still has not heard about the job and I am beginning to feel anxious about it - it starts in a month and I would think they would have to have all of this in place. Please keep her in your prayers and I will let you know.
God bless,
Pat -

Do any of you know the promises Mary makes to those that avidly say the rosary? They are very incredible promises. If anyone wants to know what they are I will post them.
