Blessed
Back in 2008 when i was diagnosed I wanted to know all I could learn about breast cancer and the journey ahead for me. Breast cancer.org was a vital part of that learning process. The website was clean, easy to navigate and offered much needed advice. Then there were those times that I was up late at night with questions, worries, all that comes along with it. Enter the message boards. This community of women embraced me, answered my questions with the knowledge that only comes from having been there. When it came time to begin chemo I stumbled upon a group of girls going through chemo in the fall of 08 and the rest is history. We have become a bonded group of sisters that has loved, cried and shared together over the years and made friendships that I know will last a lifetime. I am so thankful for this website to offer wonderful information and content to "newbies" who are learning and for the blessings of friends made here that have been written on my heart! We are currently planning a road trip to finally get as many of us together as possible in the fall of '13 to celebrate the big 5. For this website, for best friends, for weathering the journey together, I am blessed!

I too came across the website while searching online for answers. In February it will be four years since my BMX w/ reconstruction. I have been through sixteen surgeries to complete my reconstruction. Yes, sixteen! I had complication after complication. Staph infections, you name it. During all these times this site has been a source of knowledge & inspiration. I still come here to offer advice to newbies if I can.
I also have made lifelong friends on here & I am so thankful for that. -
