Yikes I forgot my 8th cancerversary!!!
LOL...yup was too busy living my busy life to think about that dreadful day 8 years ago, Sept 20th, 2005.
I am delighted to report...continued NED, 3 children ot of high school( one to graduate in physics this year, the second in medical school), my marriage is going well, my job still excites me and my cancer journey has brought many wonderful people to my life.
I am saddened by the effects that this diagnosis has had on many of many friends, too many have lost their lives and too many have been unable to find balance after their diagnosis.
I still face the uncertainty of the future but have learned to let go of the things I cannnot control. I get up early and go to bed late trying to enjoy the most I can while I can.
Breast cancer has changed my outlook, but I have control.

Hi MaryAnne:
Congratulations on 8 years of NED!!
I too have celebrated 9 1/2 years NED. I never thought this would happen... and here I am.
I have a new job, I am involved in the community, I have a grown 17 year old son who graduates high school this year...
I feel so incredibly lucky and alive.
What a journey it is...
It is wonderful to see you on here.
