Meditation & Qi Gong
When I got my ultrasound results back and they were suspicious (now confirmed by biopsy as IDC), I had to do something. Doctors were taking too long for my liking. I have been reading a lot (including medical journals) about alternative treatments. I have drastically altered my diet & increased my exercise. I have been going for acupuncture. Part of all this, I have been reading about meditation and directing the body to follow the mind. How your mind can control & heal your body. At first I was very skeptical...but I have had some positive personal experience with this. So thought I would give it a try. What is there to lose??? Only time, right. I am doing some Qi Gong as well. It makes me feel better. I am wondering if others have encorporated mediatation into their BC treatment regime? What has been your experience wirh it? What about Qi Gong or Tai Chi?

Thanks for those links!
This may sound a little crazy, but...
From TCM teachings, I read you need to use the season's energies to direct your healing. (Hence cancers tend to show up in spring/summer, as these are the seasons of growth). So, when I meditate, I envision myself as a tree in the autumn preparing itself to shed it's leaves. I think about pulling blood supply away from the tumor, like a tree cuts off nutrients to the leaf.
For my Qi Gong, I try to think about nothing but the healing energies flowing through my whole body.
For those practicing these techniques...would you mind sharing what you think/do, please? -
sure can't hurt.

but in my experience more that autumn, you need dry & rising barometer

Abigail...could you please expand on that? I understand about dry...as cancer is dampness according to TCM. But what about the barometer? You have me intrigued. Thanks!!!

sure. I've noted my cancer is more uncomfortable (quote unquote) when there's a weather system comming in. wind, snow, thunder, rain affects it very much. today I noticed no rain for sometimed, havn't noticed wind but wind usually means pain, today with 90 something air saturation, forget the word, I'm going on 77, I notice the puritis to use a latinate word which I don't usiually like to do, is bad
