My reconstructed breast is swollen could it be Lymphedema?
I woke up Friday morning feeling funny in my chest and ribs, I was hoping it would go away. Well now it's Monday and my reconstructed breast is swollen and uncomfortable. I have had a burning pain coming and going. My armpit feels full and this past weekend I had painful spots on my ribs, like there is a bruise, but I don't see one. The worst part is my reconstructed breast feeling so tight . I saw a lymphedema specialist in April and she took measurements of my arm and gave me a list of things to not do. She said I was at low risk for lymphedema, but could it be? Should I contact the specialist or PS, or PCP? Starting to panic!

How long has it been since your surgery? It could just be swelling from that, but if it's been months, then LE seems more likely. Here is a great article that was helpful for me when I was asking pretty much the same questions.
