Long-term side effect from Radiotherapy?

Hello every amazing woman,
I am struggling with two options (Lumpectomy+Rads OR Mastectomy).
I am 28, dxd as DCIS stage 0, Grade 2 + comedonecrosis. size 20mm, But ER/PR are really high.
10/09/2013: Lumpectomy margin unclear.
Could anyone did Rads share some sights about:
How your health condition was before Rads?
Are there any differences after Rads? What are they?
I will talk to my BS this Friday asking lots of questions and work out which option is good for me. PLEASE let me know your thoughts on my perticular case.
