Is it from the lymphedema or is it because I am still recovering from my May surgery? I do balance work, three kids, and life in general. I could nap everyday and am getting plenty of sleep and vitamins.

Hi Kimber, it sounds to me like you have a full plate and are getting over the surgery.  (Although not knowing your history even that is difficult to comment on with a degree of accuracy.)  Here is a link to tell you what to look for regarding symptoms of lymphedema.  I hope you are recovering and don't have to join us.

kimber, you're not alone! The main Breastcancer.org site's section on Managing Fatigue says "Fatigue is the most common side effect of breast cancer treatment. Some doctors estimate that 9 out of 10 people experience fatigue at some point during treatment. Fatigue from treatment can appear suddenly, at any time, and can be overwhelming. Rest doesn't ease fatigue and it can last for months after treatment ends."

The section also includes info on Ways to Manage Fatigue, and we hope some of them will help you, as well as the advice you'll read from other members.

Thank you both for he reply. I just called to get a blood panel done to see if I have anything going on in that department. I have had 19 surgeries in 2 and 1/2 years and I think it's catching up to me. The lymphedema has certainly not helped! (Or the bleeding disorder that has caused so many complications) This last surgery was May 2 and I bled out (should have been transfused) and required another May 3. Had to return to work 8 weeks later and it's been a battle of life every since. Including chronic pain from a lat flap :(
