I have not been on the boards for a while so this may already be out there....

I have been searching for a sports bra to replace my old one and really hate to pay the price of mastectomy bras.   I had bilateral mastectomies 9 years ago (3 time survivor) and did not have reconstruction.  I was shopping at the local dept. store and was looking at the regular sports bras.  I'm excited.... Champion makes a regular sports bra with "removable cups for shaping".  Translated for all us BC gals- you can take out the inserts that come with the bra and put mastectomy forms right in!!!!!  There are pockets already made.  The bra is ventilated mesh and has "convertible and adjustable straps".

You can change the straps to make them cross over in the back or wear as a normal bra. The old forms I wear to the gym fit inside easily.   It comes in a white, black and at least one other color (can't remember which-duh).  The price was $21.99 at the store.     I'm excited to see how this works out.

Another one worth looking at is on the Marika website.

They have great sales. You just have to wait till they have the clearance stock included in the discount. Even just at the clearance price it is a great buy.

I have been buying their Seamless Mesh sports bra reduced from $48.00, down to $18.00 and then there was another 50% off, so for $9.00 these are fantastic. They have the removable cups, and this particular design has more coverage than the usual sports bra, more like a crop top with an adjustable back. They sit high on the chest, so no dreaded "fall forward" with the prosthesis, which is my pet hate!

I wear them under a Tshirt or alone with a zip front activewear jacket zipped up but open to show the color of the bra. There were many colors available, not sure what is available now, but definitely worth looking at.

Thanks to both of you!  Who thought bra shopping could be so frustrating?
