Any tips on how to manage cooking, doing dishes and pots, working in kitchen while wearing the sleeve ? Thanks

I wear my sleeve when I cook (cept maybe when I am working with tomato products that can splash and stain). I roll part a section of it when I do dishes or sometimes take it off while doing the dishes. If I have a small load (I don't have a dishwasher so I have to wash by hand), I will leave the sleeve on, roll it up a few inches (providing it doesn't cut off circulation) wash, rinse, then put the sleeve back on when drying dishes.

I have two pairs (I have bilateral LE). One I wear for gardening, laundry, housework, dishes, etc. I have a good pair that I save for public. When I get a new pair, I rotate and the new becomes around the house stuff, etc.

I just experiement to find out what works best for me.

(I rarely and very rarely ever wear the LE gloves.)

Personally, I would rather feel the water on my hands. It is something I like when I wash dishes.

    My LE is pretty mild.

I have no problems cooking with my sleeve on. I do pull my glove off when doing some chopping/cutting 'stuff'. I do NOT wash dishes/pots! Never have as long as Hubby was not deployed (Retired USN). Gloves can be put over. There are lots if different types of gloves available.

Cinnamonsmiles, I use a food grade glove over my glove to prepare food. I buy them at a restaurant supply store. They're not too expensive and I reuse them several times. I don't find that my sleeve gets in the way in the kitchen at all. For cleaning I use Playtex gloves in an x-large size to fit over my glove/sleeve. I buy them online because most stores don't sell the x-large size.

I don't find the sleeve to be a hassle but the glove. Mine is a thick Jobst. I find, it's handy to have different gloves for different jobs and I have a growing supply of protective gloves for all sorts. Loose fitting cotton ones are great when you arent dependant on the "feel factor" and it's a "dry" job. Rubber gloves ditto for wet jobs. I have closer ftting ones that require feeling what youre doing like handwashing. I also have vinyl close fitting ones for cutting up meat or whatever. When I do heavier jobs like digging the garden, my Jobst is a pain so I'll put a gauntlet on, with garden gloves over the top. That works great.
