What can I expect with travel?

Options

I am planning a trip to Europe (France, Germany, maybe England) and I am wondering what "attitudes" are like. Would I feel comfortable being flat as I mostly do here (somewhat small town, Northeast part of USA)), or do you think people would react poorly to my flatness?

Would it differ from small town to big city?

Any info to share about how different ethnic groups accept body changes like this?

Any cultural taboos about being breast-less?

I just want to be comfortable on vacation and not feel like a poster child. Any thoughts?

    Hi crystalphm,

As a former Peace Corps volunteer and ex -Pan Am flight attendant, I've traveled to almost every part of the world. I think you have absolutely nothing to be concerned about, unless you were planning on going shirtless :) Be yourself, be comfortable and have a fabulous time.

I agree, I was with an international Airline for over 11 years and traveled all over too.

I have never heard of any cultural beliefs related to flatness. I have to be honest when I say that even now, with a heightened awareness, I rarely notice someone who is flat.

I would be very surprised if you found there was an issue with flatness anywhere.

    Have a wonderful time!

Crystal, I went to London and toured around England a couple of years ago and wore the adjustable foam forms from TLC without any of the stuffing, just the outside foam inside a Coobie bra the first couple of days, then went flat the rest of the time. With t-shirts I threw a scarf over my shoulders. With other tops (draped or some gathers or such) I didn't bother. I didn't notice any reactions either way. - I did catch a couple of old guys checking out my rear end though.  Laughing

Come to think of it, even with my increased awareness of the chest area, I never notice if people are flat. Women come in all shapes and sizes!

Just returned from Germany and Austria - I find Europeans in general to be a bit more open- minded about bodies.  I don't think you will have any problems.
