If pathology report says "lymphovascular invasion present" so does it mean that even after having mastectomy still the cancerous blood vessels are present?? Kindly reply..

user5600, the Your Diagnosis section of the main Breastcancer.org site will walk you through every line of most pathology reports, linking to definitions and explanations of terms shown there.

You may also want to ask your medical team what it means for your treatment plans.

I also had LVI on my pathology.   I did some reading online and it doesn't seem like there is much information out there about it. Everything I did read didn't sound positive.  From what I learned it means that there were cancer cells in the vessels which means there was a potential pathway established for cells to travel by blood.  It does not mean they did travel though.  Because of the LVI, I opted for chemo.  It just scared me enough.  There are a few threads on here about LVI.  Use the search function and you will find them.
