LIFE'S A BEACH!
Comments
-
I went to the beach today..
and saw the tall ships entering San Diego Harbor...when they were far out
I took some photos and the air must have done something because the
photos turned out like paintings..
-
how unusual. Cool, though.
-
I don't know what the light waves were doing to my camera.
-
Lisa, VERY weird with the thermal reaction to your pictures!!! I have NEVER had that happen but it is SO beautiful!!!! I bet you couldn`t do that again if you tried!! Were you really low to the water????
Marlegal, my screen didn`t show the reflection on the truck hood until I scrolled down. It`s a GREAT pic too!!!
-
Barbe, I was on the sand about a foot from the ocean, so I guess I was shooting up..but there were very far away and the waves were breaking. I took it in between waves..they were splashing taller than I. You are right, if I tried to do it again, I bet I couldn't..oh I had a UV filter on my lenses...what do you think?
-
Here is one I didn't catch between waves..but the ship was closer
-
Lisa, I was seeing it as THERMAL hot air waves distorting your pictures. Makes sense if you were low on the sand. I think the pics are STUNNING!!!! VERY painterly and probably not reproducible!! The one with the waves in the shot are clearer, possibly proving my heat wave theory.....
-
Thanks Barbe..I was baffled!
-
Marlegal, your picture of the dragonflies is a real keeper. I have never seen anything like that before. Love it!
-
Lisa - love the tall ships, I have always been fascinated by them.
Thanks for the tries ladies on the tree, but it is none of those. I have seen all of them and this is nothing like any of them. I will try to get a better pic of the leaves and flowers when I get back to my pc. Using my iPad tonight as I did not want to get up and it was handy.
hugs to all, AJ -
One of the residents here in our camping resort got a new camera recently and has taken some amazing pictures at our bay beach. This is the type thing we see everytime we go there, but I am always watching and never think to take my camera or pull out my phone at the right moment. Luckly, she did! Notice how many different species of birds are in this pic and the colors of the legs on some of them. She uses no filter or enhancement thingys...I checked!
-
Very nice.
-
It is
-
-
I LOVE seagulls and did a whole series on them. Some are framed in sets as Mr. C. Gull and Mrs. C. Gull...hehehehehehe
-
Barbe, here is one I took in the harbor, same camera, same lens
-
-
watch out..
-
Great shots
-
I wish I could remember the name of the tall ship from Aberdeen. It is fun to see her as she comes and goes from her home port.
-
What beautiful shots. Happy Labor Day.
Hugs, Cheryl
-
LOVE the aged sails......!!!
-
Usha - I think you nailed it. I would have never guessed a magnolia! It does not look anything like the magnolia in my backyard. The youtube looks just like the tree I saw in Japan!
Marlegal - love all the birdies.
Lisa - more beautiful shots
You ladies are amazing. -
Tonight's sunset at the bay was incredible. The day started bleak and cloudy, and when we ran some errands early, we were glad to get home before the rain...except, it didn't rain. A little while later, the sun came out and stayed out all day! Not sure I can pick a fav shot from tonight so I'm going to post a few. Thanks for the undulgence
This is looking to the left, not directly at the sunset
I love how the water is lapping right to my feet in this one
Check out how the clouds under the sun kind of do a V to "nest" the setting sun!
And finally, this is a shot I turned around and grabbed as we were heading to our car to go home. Once I looked at this one on the computer, I thought the tire tracks were kind of cool!
-
I always love the pictures on this thread. Thank you for sharing. Hugs to all.
-
loving your beach shots, Mary..
-
Mary, that first one is INCREDIBLE!!!!! The faint pink blush in the sky is so telling of the sun dipping, and the cold gray forefront areas are so crisp and sharp! FRAME it. Blow it up at Wal-Mart and get it on canvas and give it for Christmas!!!! ANYONE can get a good sunset, you took a different view and gave us more!! It`s the MORE that we crave!! Well done, sweetie!

Wouldn't want to cross this person
