Long term radiation pain?

I finished radiation 5 years ago yesterday. The last 2 weeks, every bra has caused pain on the radiated breast, though not in the exact radiated area. It's more under the breast, though occasionally in a wider area. Anyone else experience this? Is it related to the radiation?

    It very well could be.

My radiologist told me to contact him first if I noticed anything weird going on with the breast at any point, even if it would be years later.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the same thing but I finished my radiation in June 2012 and I always have this painfull area on my side under my arm where my radiation band starts.  I've mentioned it to my surgeon on followups and my general doctor and don't every get any answers.  Only that they feel anything there.  Very frustrating, just wish someone had some kind of answer.  It's bad enough always worring about every little ache and pain.  Sounds to me like everyone that's had partial and radiation has some kind of pain that keeps on going.  Or is it related to the surgery and auxilary disection?

sta1129, are your ribs tender as well? Does the pain feel like it's more on the surface or deeper within? What kind of pain is it? Agree about the lymphedema possibility.

I am two years out from bilateral rads and I still have pain.
