Lots of things are correlated to breast cancer.  One important question is how much risk?

This study looked at height and the risk of several cancers.  It stated that breast cancer had an HR of 1.13 for every 10cm (about 4 inches) of height.  The effect was certainly NOT specific to breast cancer in this study.  In other cancers, such as multiple myeloma and thyroid cancer, the effect was higher than in breast cancer.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23887996

I'm not a statistician, but according to Wiki, HR (Hazard Ratio) is something like the chance a person in the study group will have a condition vs that in the control group.

In this study from the UK, they also found height correlated to cancer risk, but in this study, the effect was larger in smokers vs. nonsmokers. Colon cancer, rectal cancer, and multiple melanoma had higher correlations with height than did breast cancer. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21782509

I don't know if these were the studies that prompted your post.

Leaf thank for your reply your reply is just differ from what I studied is cancer is a consequent of processes having to do with cell growth, thus it makes sense that hormones or other growth aspects influencing height may directly or indirectly influence cancer risk.

According to every "study", I shouldn't have breast cancer.....5' 3", no family history of ANY cancer, don't smoke, don't drink, not overweight, athlete, breastfed 3 kids in my 20's. Even my onc said "how the hell did you get BC?". Go figure.
